WHO donates medical supplies to Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, April 1, 2022. / Kabar /. WHO donated medical supplies to Kyrgyzstan to strengthen the capacity of human resources in health care, the press service of the country’s Ministry of Health said.

The equipment was transferred to the Kyrgyz State Medical Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training.

Medical supplies and equipment include emergency medical care and parenteral and intramuscular drug training dummies, non-contact thermometers, pulse oximeters, concentrators and computer equipment totaling USD 39,929.

It was noted that this assistance will be distributed among all seven regional branches of the Department of Nursing in Family Medicine of Kyrgyz State Medical Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training and will provide better access to medical colleagues from the regions to continuous learning and improvement of practical skills in nursing.

All medical the provided supplies and equipment meet WHO quality and safety standards, which will ensure the safety of medical workers and improve their patient management skills, the ministry said.
