Bishkek, April 17, 2024 / Kabar/. Governor of Osh Oblast Elchibek Dzhantaev met with representative of the World Health Organization in Kyrgyzstan, Liviu Vedrasco, and the organization’s health policy adviser, Amanda Shriwise.
The parties discussed problems in the healthcare sector, such as infectious and non-infectious diseases in the region, the impact of climate change on people, problems of shortage of medical workers, digitalization in the medical field and others.
As a result, agreements were reached that projects would be implemented in seven regions of Osh Oblast in seven directions within seven years to solve the above problems.
During the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness for active and productive cooperation aimed at improving the health and well-being of the region's population.
