Bishkek, April 22, 2022. / Kabar /. Members of Kyrgyzstan’s national Greco-Roman wrestling team, who performed at the Asian Wrestling Championships, were met on Friday at Manas International Airport.
Director of the Directorate of Olympic Sports under the Department of Physical Culture and Sports Nurlanbek Ismailov, Vice President of the Wrestling Federation of Kyrgyzstan Akhror Iminov, First Vice President Damirbek Asylbek uulu, parents, relatives and friends of athletes met winners and medalists of the Asian Championships, the press service of Manas airport said.
The Asian Championships started on April 19 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
A total of 10 sets of medals were played in Greco-Roman wrestling. The Kyrgyz national team consisted of 10 athletes under the guidance of head coach Ulukbek Karacholokov and head coach Azat Erkinbaev.
Members of the Greco-Roman wrestling team won three gold (Tynar Sharshenbekov, Akzhol Makhmudov, Zholaman Sharshenbekov) and three bronze medals (Roman Kim, Uzur Dzhuzupbekov, Adilkhan Nurlanbekov).
