With advent of Jeenbekov, cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan has gained new impetus:Tokayev

Bishkek, Nov.27, 2019. /Kabar/. Since Sooronbay Jeenbekov took possession of the presidency of Kyrgyzstan, cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan has gained new impetus, Kazakh leader Kassym-Komart Tokayev said at the press conference following his state visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.

He reminded since independence, the countries continue to build relations at the present stage, in the new historical and geopolitical conditions.

“Today these relations have reached alliance and strategic partnership. First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev made an invaluable contribution to this cause. He has repeatedly pointed out that Kazakhs and Kyrgyz are the closest peoples to each other. I cannot fail the mention contribution of Sooronbay Jeenbekov, who gave a new impetus to cooperation between our countries when he became head of state,” Tokayev said.

In addition, the Kazakh President said Nursultan Nazarbayev and Sooronbay Jeenbekov showed political will in 2017 and completed an important stage of consolidation of the legal status of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh state border.

Today, Nov. 27 Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived in Kyrgyzstan for state visit.
