Women in Digital Entrepreneurship Hackathon to be held on Day of Women's Entrepreneurship

Bishkek will host the Hackathon “Women in Digital Entrepreneurship” on Nov. 20-21-22, within the framework of the Ayim Creates digital entrepreneurship project, timed to coincide with Women's Entrepreneurship Day. The hackathon is organized by the NGO The Women's Entrepreneurship Development Fund.

According to the organizers, for three days experts in the field of e-commerce, digital promotion tools, mentors and speakers will work at one site to help 80 female participants who have already taken their first steps in business to introduce ideas / tools to promote their products or services in online space.

It is noted that the hackathon program is designed for women who have just launched their business projects, who, within three days, will be able to receive instant feedback about their project from practicing professionals, leading companies in promoting goods through marketplaces and, in general, in the Internet space to master skills in content making, video blogging, social media marketing basics and other tools to promote product or service in the digital age.

"Within the framework of the Ayim Creates digital entrepreneurship project, 498 women from all over Kyrgyzstan registered for open master classes on e-commerce, digital tools in entrepreneurship, digital marketing, payment systems and legal aspects in entrepreneurship," the event organizers said.

The third stage in supporting women entrepreneurs will be the organization of a comprehensive 3-month business school, where everyone have the opportunity to take a full course in the business areas of interest and receive individual mentoring for the development of a business project in the field of digital entrepreneurship.

The Women's Entrepreneurship Development Fund is a public association with a new concept for the development of entrepreneurship among women in Kyrgyzstan. It was founded in September 2019. Since the opening day, it has been implementing projects for training and the creation of complex business schools to increase the economic potential of women, with a focus on women from rural areas.
