Bishkek, June 27, 2024. /Kabar/. “Women’s entrepreneurship is developing very strongly in Turkic-speaking countries,” Temir Sariev, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan, told speaking at the opening the business forum of the countries of the Organization of Turkic States, which is taking place in the Issyk-Kul region.
Sariev noted several areas where active interaction between the OTS member countries is possible.
According to him, the most important issue at the moment is logistics.
“Business will benefit greatly from logistics. In the fall, construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway through Turkmenistan, Iran, TurkIiye will begin, we will have a short route to Turkiye and Europe. Also, by the end of the year, an alternative North-South road will be completed, which brings the southern regions of Kyrgyzstan closer to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, becoming the shortest road to China,” he said.
In addition, Sariev called for investment in tourism, the production of environmentally friendly products, green energy (construction of hydro and solar power plants) and women's entrepreneurship.
He also focused on the topic of banking and digitalization, noting that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic has developed a digital platform strategy, where services and relationships are provided online.
The business forum is attended by the heads of the chambers of commerce and industry of the OTS, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov, ambassadors of countries accredited in Kyrgyzstan, businessmen from Turkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, as well as from observer countries: Hungary, Northern Cyprus and representatives of the European chambers.
