At the Physical Culture and Health Complex Baktuu-Dolonotu a press conference took place with the participation of Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan Ainura Temirbekova, Chief Director of Ordo of the oblasts of Kyrgyzstan in the Kyrchyn ethno-village Zarylbek Moldobakirov, Director of Issyk-Kul oblast branch of the National Red Crescent Society of Kyrgyzstan Jyparkul Kadyralieva, members of the Udmurt folklore ensemble “Vyl zardon” (Выль зардон) and music band from Guinea.
The press conference started informally. The participants of the International Nomads Universe Festival, guests from Udmurtia and Guinea performed musical pieces for the journalists, the Secretariat of the World Nomad Games reported.
Ainura Temirbekova noted that from September 3 to 6 the Kyrchyn ethno-village was open within the Third World Nomad Games. There Ethno-Bazar, Ordo of foreign participants, Khan-ordo, Ordo of public associations, Press-Ordo, Ordo of the 7 oblasts of Kyrgyzstan and the cities of Osh and Bishkek were available for visitors.
Zarylbek Moldobakirov said that around 1 thousand yurts were assembled in the Kyrchyn ethno-village. Ordo of each oblast was unique in its own way. Customs and traditions of the Kyrgyz people were demonstrated in each of them, with regard to regional peculiarities.
Demonstrative traditional art competitions entitled “Kochmondordun trumushtuk oyundary” (Kyrgyz: Көчмөндөрдүн турмуштук оюндары) were held. The participating teams competed in various traditional arts, which existed in the life of nomadic peoples: “Iyik iyiruu” (Kyrgyz: Ийик ийирүү - to spin yarn), “Jyuk jiyuu” (Kyrgyz: Жүк жыйуу – to stack blankets, “Ala kiyiz basuu” (Kyrgyz: Ала кийиз басу – to make a felt carpet), “Chiy soguu” (Kyrgyz: Чий согуу – to make a chiy mat), “Joo aitysh” (Kyrgyz: Жөө айтыш – competition in mastery of words), “Uuk jasaluuchu taldy tez archuu” (Kyrgyz: Уук жасалуучу талды тез арчуу – fast barking of wooden poles used in assembling a yurt).
Zarylbek Moldobakirov noted that during the competitions in making a felt carpet, the participants made the item within 1.5-2 hours, whereas in the past the process required 1-2 days.
Foreign tourists were also impressed by the competition in fast assembling of a yurt, where representatives of Osh took the first place, completing the task within 7 minutes and 18 seconds.
In addition, at the press conference representative of the Red Crescent Society of Kyrgyzstan Jyparkul Kadyralieva informed the journalists that in the Kyrchyn ethno-village and other places where activities were held, trained volunteers of the organization were providing first pre-medical aid, when it was needed.
