Bishkek, July 21, 2023. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov's working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, held at the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on July 18-20, has completed.
During the visit, the head of state held a number of bilateral talks with heads of Arab Gulf countries and financial institutions.
Thus, on July 19, Sadyr Zhaparov met in Jeddah with President of the Islamic Development Bank Muhammad bin Sulaiman Al Jasser, Special Envoy of the King of Bahrain, member of the Royal Family Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
He also held talks with Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait, and Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.
In the course of bilateral meetings, the sides discussed topical areas on a wide range of issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, paying special attention to strengthening ties in political, trade and economic and other spheres.
Further, the Kyrgyz leader participated in the first Summit of Heads of State "Central Asia - Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf".
In his speech, Zhaparov proposed to actively promote interregional cooperation in various spheres. A joint statement was adopted as a result of the Summit.
As part of the visit, the president performed umrah (small hajj) in Mecca and was given a special honor - he entered the sacred Kaaba, where he recited a prayer.
Sadyr Zhaparov also visited the Mosque of Prophet Muhammad in Medina. He prayed to the Almighty for the welfare of the people of Kyrgyzstan and prosperity of the country.
In the evening, July 20, having completed his working visit, Sadyr Zhaparov returned to Bishkek.
