Bishkek, Feb. 5, 2019. /Kabar/. Together Against Cancer charity campaign took place at Toktogul Satylganov Kyrgyz National Philharmonic Hall on February 4 with the support of Bishkek Mayor's Office. The campaign was dedicated to the memory of famous TV presenters Saltanat Samatova and Kyzylgul Kanimetova.
Celebrities of Kyrgyzhstan Janar Turatova, Erkin Mukashev, Angelica, Jiydesh, Gulnur Satylganova, Zamira Mavlyanova, Kural Chokoev, Marat Ibraev, Zhanneta Usupzhanova, Omar, Guljigit Kalykov, Kairat Primberdiyev and others performed for the audience.
On the margins of the campaign, there was an exhibition and sale in the foyer of the Philharmonic Hall. The participants were able to purchase eco-bags made by the skilled hands of cancer patients of the Kurdash school. The first craftswoman of this school who started sewing bags to buy expensive medications was Kyzylgul Kanimetova who passed away. A popular TV presenter, social activist Saltanat Samatova, who in the last years of her life fought cancer, departed on August 15, 2018 in her 47th year of life, was an example of fighting a terrible disease for many Kyrgyz women, actively participating in events dedicated to fight against cancer.
All funds raised during the charity campaign will be used to purchase chemotherapy medications for cancer patients.
Every year, the World Cancer Day is marked on February 4. The purpose of this day is to draw public attention to this global problem, to remind you of how dangerous and common cancer is now, and to significantly reduce cancer mortality.
The concert was also co-organized by the Together Against Cancer Public Foundation and Gulmira Abdyrazakova Foundation.
