World checkers championship among PwD to be held in Kyrgyzstan this fall

Bishkek, June 1, 2022. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan will host the World Checkers Championships among persons with disabilities (PwD) in autumn, Ermek Mukashev, the Vice President of the Kyrgyz National Paralympic Committee told during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.

The Third World Championship will be held in Bulan-Sogottu village of Issyk-Kul Oblast on Sept. 3-15 this year.

People with disabilities from Central Asia, as well as Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine will become participants.

“About 150 athletes are expected to take part in the championship. At the moment we are collecting the lists of participants, we want to hold the event at a high level," said Mukashev.
