Bishkek, Sept. 15, 2021 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyzstan will host on Sept. 18 a global cleanup day as part of the World Cleanup Day celebration, head of the Eco Demi Public Foundation Aizhan Chynybayeva said during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
According to her, the campaign is planned to involve people from all regions of the country.
"Traditionally, the campaign is initiated by Eco Demi Public Fund. 2021 World Cleanup Day is supported by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, many state bodies, businesses, international and public organizations, and just concerned citizens," Chynybayeva added.
The team of the Fund urges Kyrgyzstanis to join the action.
World Cleanup Day is an annual global social action program aimed at combating the global solid waste problem, including the problem of marine debris. It is coordinated by the global organization Let's Do It! World.
World Cleanup Day is celebrated with litter cleanup and waste mapping activities spanning every time zone. Environmental cleanup events are held in nearly every country until concluding near the international date line in Hawaii and American Samoa.
