Cholpon-Ata, July 2 / Kabar /. Today, the World Kurultai of Turkic peoples was to be held in the Rukh-Ordo memorial complex in Cholpon-Ata resort town. However, it was canceled because of a call about a bomb in the Rukh-Ordo.
Police department of Issyk-Kul oblast told Kabar Agency that, they received a call about the bomb at 06:00 local time. The police cordoned off the territory. However, sappers did not found explosive devices. The call turned out to be false, the police said.
The organizers of the event said that the conference in connection with this incident will be held in Almaty. "Representatives of the delegation are sent to Kazakhstan today," the organizers said.
About 130 people from more than 20 countries and nationalities came to the kurultai.
