Bishkek, Feb. 8, 2022. / Kabar /. The Forth World Nomad Games (WNG) are planned to be held at the end of September 2022 in the city of Iznik (Turkey), Kyrgyz writer, former Culture Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sultan Rayev wrote on his Facebook page.
Rayev wrote that he took part in the meeting of the organizing committee chaired by Minister of Sports and Youth of Turkey Mehmet Muharam Kasapoglu as the Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States.
“Now Turkey has launched activities to organize WNG. It is planned that the Games will be held at the end of September this year. Currently, 2 thousand 50 athletes from 74 countries of the world have sent applications. Outstanding directors and screenwriters of Turkey have been involved in the event,” Rayev wrote.
The World Nomad Games are an international sport competition, a project initiated by the Kyrgyz government in 2012 for the revival and preservation of the culture of nomadic civilization. The first three World Nomad Games were held in Kyrgyzstan, the Fourth Games was planned to be held in Turkey in 2020. However, 2020 Event was delayed until 2022 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
