Xi Jinping thanks Jeenbekov for his support in fight against coronavirus

Bishkek, Feb. 15, 2020 / Kabar /. Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen conveyed to the Kyrgyz side a letter of gratitude on behalf of President of China Xi Jinping to the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov.

In his letter, President Xi Jinping noted that the Chinese side appreciates the fact that the Kyrgyz side fully supports the measures taken by China to combat the epidemic of coronavirus. The Chinese side is full of confidence and is able to triumph over this disease, and is also ready to work with the world community to make a new contribution to global health.

China and Kyrgyzstan are good neighbors, good friends and reliable partners who are connected by common mountains and rivers. After his state visit to Kyrgyzstan in June last year, Chinese-Kyrgyz relations of an all-round strategic partnership are developing dynamically in a sound manner, and cooperation in various fields is rapidly advancing. The Chinese President also expressed readiness to maintain close contacts with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, to make joint efforts to constantly achieve new fruits of cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan for the benefit of two countries and peoples, the message of Xi Jinping said.

On Feb. 1, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov sent a message of condolences to President Xi Jinping, where he expressed support for the Chinese people in combating the pneumonia epidemic caused by a new type of coronavirus.
