Extraordinary session of Kyrgyz Parliament to review introduction of emergency kicks off

Bishkek, March 24, 2020./Kabar/. The Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) has begun its extraordinary session following president's appeal to declare a state of emergency in some parts of Kyrgyzstan.

President Sooronbay Jeenbekov decided to introduce the state of emergency in the cities of Bishkek, Osh and Dzhalal-Abad, Nookat and Kara-Suu regions of Osh Oblast, as well as in Suzak region, Dzhalal-Abad Oblast.

According to Almaz Orozaliyev, Deputy Interior Minister of the republic and Commandant for Bishkek, a curfew will be introduced in the capital from March 25 between 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

To date, an emergency mode has been introduced across the country.

The number of people infected with coronavirus has reached 42.
