XXI International Issyk-Kul Sports Games to be held in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Aug. 25, 2022. / Kabar /. XXI International Issyk-Kul Sports Games will be held on Sept. 9 - 17 in Kyrgyzstan, on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul the with the participation of the SCO countries, the CIS and regions of Russia.

The International Issyk-Kul Sports Games under the motto "Asia - a region of commonwealth and peace" have been held annually since 2001 and are gaining great popularity every year. Events of this kind are aimed at coordinating cooperation between the SCO countries, the CIS and Russian regions.

The organizers of the games are: Directorate of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports under the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic; Kyrgyz Republican Council of the Voluntary Physical Culture and Sports Society of Trade Unions with the support of the International Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS member states.

The program of the Games includes the following sports: arm wrestling, streetball, volleyball, kettlebell lifting, darts, athletics, mini-football, mas-wrestling, table tennis, tug-of-war, swimming, the Batyr Issyk-Kul contest: Buka Tartysh (tug-of-war rope), Oorduktardy tashuu (gravity transfer, stone weighing 100 kg), Kyrgyz kurosh (Kyrgyz national wrestling).

Beach sports: beach football, beach volleyball, beach rugby, beach sambo, beach wrestling, sumo wrestling, Alysh belt wrestling, athletics for men and women.
