Young Kyrgyz chess players win gold and bronze medals in Thailand

Bishkek, April 2, 2018 / Kabar /. Young chess players from Kyrgyzstan won gold and bronze medals at the Asian Championship in Thailand.

Asian Teenage Chess Championship and Asian Youth Championship on Fast and Blitz started from April 1 in Chiang Mai, Thailand and will last until April 10.

Kyrgyzstan will be represented by 12 athletes.

On April 1, the Rapid Championship was held, chess players played 7 rounds.

Aijan Syezdbekova won 1st place with 6 points in her age category and became the champion of Asia in Rapid Championship.

Ruslan Syezdbekov won 3rd place and was awarded with the bronze medal of the Championship. He competed in the age category up to 16 years.
