Bishkek, Nov. 17, 2024. /Kabar/. There are 57 precinct election commissions and 1 remote precinct commission working on the day of elections of deputies of local councils in the Pervomaisky district of Bishkek.
The mayor's office reported that according to tradition, the chairmen of the precinct election commissions presented memorable gifts to those voters who fulfilled their civic duty for the first time and reached the age of majority.
"Dear citizens! If you have reached the age of majority and have not voted before, this day is especially important for you.
We invite you to join those who are fulfilling their civic duty for the first time today and express your position in the elections," the statement says.
Voting has begun in Kyrgyzstan for local elections on Sunday. The Kyrgyz citizens will elect 993 deputies to 33 city councils and 5,391 deputies to 231 village councils. 2,437 polling stations have been opened across the country.
