Bishkek, March 16, 2021 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov said that according to the draft of the new Constitution, part of the powers will be delegated to the country's parliament.

In an interview with Azattyk radio, the head of state said that Kyrgyzstan will not turn from democracy to autocracy. He noted that he takes full responsibility for the economy, domestic and foreign policy, as well as the life of the people.

“Secondly, all power is not given to the president. Some of the powers are transferred to parliament. For example, the cabinet will be formed by the parliament. And the Jogorku Kenesh will be the controlling body. At the same time, the courts will pass through the Jogorku Kenesh. In the 2000s, judges were appointed through parliament, and then, due to conflicts in the law, the president began to appoint judges,” he explained.
