Bishkek, Oct. 15, 2021 . / Kabar / . "An important task for us is to complete the process of delimitation and demarcation of state borders of our countries as soon as possible in the spirit of mutual trust and good neighborliness," Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov said at a regular meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) held Friday via video conference.

The Kyrgyz leader noted that the Agreement on the Establishment of the CIS dated Dec. 8, 1991 and the Alma-Ata Declaration dated Dec. 21, 1991 and the Moscow Declaration on the observance of sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of borders of CIS member states dated April 15, 1994, the goals and principles laid down in these documents are more relevant today than ever before.

"We advocate peaceful resolution of existing differences exclusively by political and diplomatic methods in order to ensure regional security and further development of relations. Today we also need to work together in a comprehensive and high-quality way to strengthen confidence-building measures around our borders," stressed Sadyr Zhaparov.
