Bishkek, Dec. 4, 2024 . / Kabar / . President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov held talks with Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Woo Won-shik.
The press service of the Kyrgyz president reported that the parties discussed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in political, economic and cultural spheres, expansion of inter-parliamentary ties, as well as the prospects for the implementation of joint projects in the field of investment, technology and tourism.
Sadyr Zhaparov noted that in recent years the volume of trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Korea has increased more than 15 times, reaching record levels.
He stressed that an important task is not only to further increase the volume of trade, but also to diversify the range of products exchanged between the countries.
The Kyrgyz leader noted promising areas of cooperation such as agriculture, textile industry and mining.
In turn, Woo Won-shik emphasized that the visit of the Kyrgyz delegation was an important step in strengthening bilateral cooperation, marked by the establishment of an updated legal framework that will stimulate the development of trade and investment attraction.
The speaker expressed confidence that this would become a solid foundation for further expansion of mutually beneficial partnership between the two countries.
The sides expressed confidence that further strengthening of bilateral cooperation will contribute to the well-being and prosperity of both countries, and reaffirmed readiness for open dialog and fruitful partnership in all areas
