Zhaparov instructs Cabinet to use GSP program to support domestic entrepreneurs

Bishkek, July 28, 2021 . / Kabar /. President Sadyr Zhaparov instructed Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov to use the U.S. Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) program program to strengthen bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and the United States, as well as to support Kyrgyz entrepreneurs at the state level.

Under this program, developing countries are allowed to export up to 5,000 items to the United States duty-free.

This program allows for the export to the United States of rare, high-quality agricultural products produced in Kyrgyzstan (Kyrgyz mountain honey, sea buckthorn, plums, peanuts, yaks and other animals, trout, etc.).

Currently, working is underway with a relevant state bodies to create all the conditions at the state level for Kyrgyz entrepreneurs to take full advantage of this American program.
