Bishkek, March 17, 2021 / Kabar /. “The joint opening of a gold mining complex testifies to the close partnership and dynamically developing relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation,” President Sadyr Zhaparov said today at the solemn ceremony of launching the Talas Gold Mining Complex at the Dzherui deposit in Talas Oblast.
Sadyr Zhaparov noted that this important investment project with Russian participation will make a significant contribution to the sustainable development of Talas Oblast and Kyrgyzstan as a whole.
The president added that as part of their activities, Russian investors have allocated almost KGS 1.5 billion to the budget and extra-budgetary funds in the form of taxes and non-tax payments, and after the launch of the plant, the volume of payments to the budget will increase.
He also said that the total number of employees involved in the project will be about 1,000 people, of which more than 95 percent are citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic.
