Bishkek, June 27, 2021 . / Kabar / . President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov began his official visit to Turkmenistan by visiting the Mausoleum of the country's first President Saparmurat Niyazov and the Turkmenbashynin Ruhy Metjidi ("Turkmenbashi Mosque of Spirituality").
The mausoleum and mosque are located near Ashgabat in the Kipchak settlement, an ancestral home of Saparmurat Niyazov.
At the mausoleum, President Zhaparov with the participation of the Company of Honor Guard laid a wreath at the monument erected in memory of mother and two brothers of Saparmurat Niyazov. The first Turkmen president is also buried here.
Mufti of Turkmenistan Yalkap Hojagulyyev read a memorial prayer.
Paying tribute to the memory, the Kyrgyz leader familiarized with the largest mosque in the country Turkmenbashynin Ruhy Metjidi, which can simultaneously accommodate about 10 thousand people.
Further, Sadyr Zhaparov laid a wreath at the Independence Monument of Turkmenistan and planted a tree in the Alley of Honorary Guests.
