Bishkek, Dec. 20, 2024 . / Kabar / . During his speech at the Third People's Kurultai, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov listed major projects that will significantly affect the future of the country.
"The implementation of strategic initiatives, such as the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railroad and Kambar-Ata HPP-1, has entered an active phase. These projects will ensure economic growth, energy security and new transportation opportunities for the country. For example, the launch of the construction of the railroad is scheduled for Dec. 27, 2024, which will be an important step in the development of trade and tourism ties," he said.
The regular meeting of the Third People's Kurultai is taking place in Bishkek on Dec. 20-21. It is attended by 700 delegates. Of these, 640 delegates from all regions of the republic, 30 delegates from ethnic groups and 30 from labor migrants abroad.
The Kurultai is also attended by Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan Nurlanbek Shakiev, members of Parliament, the full Cabinet of Ministers, the leadership of the judicial branch, all governors, mayors of cities, and heads of regions.
