Bishkek, June 10, 2021 . / Kabar / . President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov met on Thursday with Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Shentop.
During the meeting, held in the Turkish capital city of Ankara, issues of trade-economic and cultural and humanitarian cooperation, development of inter-parliamentary cooperation were discussed.

The Kyrgyz leader noted with satisfaction the fruitfulness of negotiations with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which resulted in a number of agreements, in the implementation of which the support of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey is important.
Referring to trade and economic relations, President Zhaparov stressed the need to expand Kyrgyz products in the Turkish market, cooperation in the industrial sector, the establishment of joint ventures in Kyrgyzstan.

He also expressed interest in implementing projects in the agrarian, textile, mining and hydropower sectors.
Mustafa Shentop congratulated the Kyrgyz president on the upcoming 30th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence and wished the country further prosperity.
He expressed confidence that the talks between the two countries' leaders will contribute to strengthening the Kyrgyz-Turkish strategic partnership, including in the framework of agreements reached the day before.
The chairman of the Turkish National Grand Assembly expressed condolences to the relatives of victims of events at the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border in Batken Oblast and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

Mustafa Shentop noted the interest of the Turkish side to improve trade and economic cooperation, to increase trade turnover between the two countries to $ 1 billion, given the existing potential.
In addition, the Turkish side intends to further develop, promote joint projects in education, culture, health, including the planned official opening of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital in Bishkek, one of the largest projects between the two countries in the health sector.
