Bishkek, June 1, 2021. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov met today with Chief Executive Director of the Qatar Charity Yusuf bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, the presidential administration reported.
The issues of activation and continuation of cooperation on humanitarian, socio-economic and educational projects were discussed.
President Zhaparov noted that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to the comprehensive development and expansion of cooperation with Qatar and is interested in bringing relations between states to a higher level.
Sadyr Zhaparov highly appreciated humanitarian projects implemented with the support of a charitable organization, which make a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan.
The head of state noted the country's great opportunities in the agricultural sector and proposed to continue cooperation to improve the infrastructure of remote areas, in particular, on the construction of social facilities, the implementation of agricultural projects, the establishment of production, etc.
At the same time, the president called on the Qatari charitable organization to jointly implement educational projects.
In particular, he proposed to consider the possibility of opening centers for the study of information technology, English and Arabic languages, the provision of appropriate equipment and Internet connection for students from remote areas of the country.
The chief executive officer of the charitable organization, Yusuf bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, in response, stressed that the Qatari side is committed to positive bilateral relations, and is also ready to further promote the implementation of projects in various fields.
According to him, since 2019, the Qatar Charity has implemented more than two thousand projects, and one of the main directions is to provide support to socially vulnerable groups of the population, the construction of schools and roads.
Yusuf bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari emphasized that the organization has 60 branches around the world, with special attention being paid to the branch in Kyrgyzstan in view of the friendly relations between the countries.
He expressed gratitude for the creation of good conditions for the work of the charitable organization and reiterated his readiness for further cooperation and rendering assistance to Kyrgyzstan.
