Zhaparov receives deputy chairman of country’s Security Council

Bishkek, July 27, 2021 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov received on Tuesday Taalatbek Masadykov, the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan.

The meeting was also attended by Head of the Kyrgyz President’s Office Suyunbek Kasmambetov, Secretary of the Security Council Marat Imankulov and his deputies, the press service of the Kyrgyz president said.

The head of state noted the appointment of Taalatbek Masadykov to such a responsible position is due to his competence in foreign policy and regional security issues, and is aimed at strengthening the role of the Security Council and increasing the effectiveness of this body.

Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized that one of the main tasks of the Security Council’s deputy chairman will be the formation of proposals to determine the main directions of foreign policy to ensure national security, protection of national interests, forecasting, analysis and evaluation of challenges and threats to national security, the development of measures aimed at preventing and neutralizing them.

In turn, Taalatbek Masadykov expressed gratitude to the president for his confidence.

He noted the national security issues of the country are very topical nowadays, considering the situation in the Central Asian region as a whole.

The deputy chairman of the Security Council emphasized his willingness to apply all his knowledge and many years of international experience in regional security issues in work.

Addressing his colleagues, Masadykov expressed readiness to cooperate and work for the development of the country and the well-being of its citizens.
