Bishkek, Aug. 23, 2021. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov will take part today in an extraordinary session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in the format of a video conference, his press service said.
It is planned to discuss the situation in Afghanistan and its impact on the security of the CSTO member states, as well as an effective joint response to possible cross-border challenges and threats.
The session will be chaired by President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas are expected to take part in the event.
