Zhaparov: Turkic Council has become important platform for integration recognized by world community

Bishkek, March 31, 2021 / Kabar /. “Currently, the Turkic Council has become the most important and prestigious platform for Turkic integration, recognized by the world community,” Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov said today speaking at an informal meeting of the heads of countries participating in the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (CCTS), via a video conference.

The press service of the Kyrgyz president said that Sadyr Zhaparov thanked the Honorary Chairman of the Turkic Council Nursultan Nazarbaev for initiating an informal summit of Turkic-speaking countries, noting his significant contribution to the activities of the organization.

He noted that at present all countries are experiencing the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, in connection with which he called on the leaders of the Turkic Council member states to unite, since the current situation requires the Turkic world to respond decisively to the challenges of our time.

The head of state emphasized the key role of the Turkic Council in the integration process of the participating countries, which have the opportunity to discuss political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and social issues on the platform of the organization, as well as to bring closer and improve multilateral relations.

The president emphasized that at the initiative of Nursultan Nazarbaev, the strategic concept "Turkic Vision - 2040" is being developed, which will become a road map for deepening integration.

Sadyr Zhaparov noted that the Kyrgyz side fully supports this important document.

The Kyrgyz president named the creation of an investment fund of the Turkic world as one of such important projects and expressed his readiness to accept the location of the head office of this financial institution in Bishkek.

“The fund will serve as an additional source of financing for business projects in the Turkic Council countries, contribute to the development of entrepreneurship, and provide financial resources to small and medium-sized businesses. By supporting the activities of the fund, we will open a new page in economic relations between the Turkic states,” he said.

Sadyr Zhaparov expressed confidence that with the creation of the fund, the investment climate between the countries will improve, and at the same time, an economic lever to be created to strengthen relations.
