City council elections: Zhaparov votes outside premises due to COVID-19 case found in his inner circle

Bishkek, July 10, 2021 . / Kabar / . President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov voted on Saturday in the repeat Bishkek City Council election outside the premises, his press service said.

The precinct election commission organized off-site voting due to the fact that one of the personal security guards of the Kyrgyz president has contracted COVID-19 the day before.

PCR test result of President Zhaparov himself is negative, but according to the recommendations of epidemiologists, the Kyrgyz leader, as a direct contact person, should observe the regime of self-isolation in order not to risk the health of others.

On July 11, 2021, repeat elections of deputies of Bishkek, Osh and Tokmok city councils will be held.
