Astana, Dec. 25, 2017. / Kabar /. I will do my best to strengthen the strategic partnership and allied relations between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz leader Sooronbai Zheenbekov said in Astana during the bilateral meeting with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in a narrow format.
Zheenbekov also thanked Nazarbayev for the invitation to visit Kazakhstan for official visit. "You are our aksakal, elder brother. Thank you for the invitation to discuss the existing issues," the Kyrgyz President said.
"May God, we will make efforts to strengthen friendly relations between our states," Zheenbekov said.
He reminded that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, as well as 20 years of the Treaty of Eternal Friendship.
"My visit coincided with two important dates. You correctly said that there are no people in the world closer than Kyrgyz and Kazakhs. We are fraternal peoples," Zheenbekov added.
Nazarbayev said that the leaders of the peoples come and go, but the people remain adding that the duty of each generation is to preserve, multiply and transfer the friendship of peoples in a pure form to the future generation.
