Bishkek, Feb. 10, 2023 / Kabar/. Over the past year, Kyrgyzstan received USD 2 billion 928.19 million from abroad through money transfer systems, according to the website of the National Bank.
Compared to 2021, revenue increased by 6.2%. That year, USD 2 billion 756.24 million were transferred from other countries to Kyrgyzstan.
The bulk of the money received last year was sent from Russia USD 2 billion 780.15 million, which is almost 95%. USD9.49 million came from Kazakhstan and USD 4.28 million from other CIS countries.
Individuals transferred USD 134.18 million from non-CIS countries. Of them:
• USD 54.94 million received from the US (up 27%);
• USD 12.91 million from Turkey (up 16 times);
• USD 6.03 from the UK (up 5.5 times);
• USD 4.7 million from Germany (up 5.2 times);
• USD 55.58 million from other non-CIS countries (an increase of 4.7 times).
