Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover down by 22.1%

Bishkek, Oct. 15, 2020. /Kabar/. In January – August 2020, Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover amounted to about $3.5 billion, and decreased by 22.1% compared to January - August 2019.

According to the press service of the republic’s National Statistics Committee, export supplies increased by 3.5 %, while import revenues, on the contrary, decreased by 31.6 %.

In January-August 2020, the volume of mutual trade of the republic with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states amounted to about $ 1.5 billion U.S. and decreased by 19.4 % compared to the same period of last year.

At the same time, export supplies decreased by 22.0 %, and import revenues - by 18.6 %. Russia (65.7%) accounted for the largest share of mutual trade of Kyrgyzstan with the EAEU member states, followed by Kazakhstan (32.3 %).
