Volume of foreign trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan amounted to USD 931.4 mln

Bishkek, Apr. 13, 2020 / Kabar /. The volume of foreign and mutual trade in goods, according to preliminary data, in January-February 2020 amounted to USD 931.4 million, and compared with January-February 2019, it decreased by 1.5%, according to the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Export deliveries amounted USD 310.6 million and increased by 20.3% compared to January-February 2019.

Import receipts compared with January-February 2019 decreased by 9.7%, amounting to USD 620.8 million.

In the structure of commodity circulation, the share of exports was 33.3%, of imports - 66.7%.

The negative balance of the trade balance in January-February 2020 amounted to USD 310.2 million (in January-February 2019 - USD 429.6 million).

Exports of goods excluding gold increased by 7.1%, amounting to USD 186.4 million.

In the total volume of goods turnover of the republic, mutual trade with the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union made 43.2%, including 35.4% in exports and 47.1% in imports.

Foreign trade with third countries in the total turnover of the republic makes 56.8%, including in export - 64.6%, in import - 52.9%.

The volume of mutual trade in goods of the Kyrgyz Republic with the EAEU member states in January-February 2020, according to preliminary data, amounted to USD 402.7 million and increased by 9.5% compared to January-February 2019.

Export deliveries with the EAEU member states amounted to USD 110.0 million and increased by 13.8% compared to January-February 2019.

Import receipts from EAEU member states increased by 8.0% compared to January-February 2019, amounting to USD 292.7 million.

The largest share of the republic’s mutual trade with the EAEU member states was Russia (70.5 percent) and Kazakhstan (27.5 percent).
