Bishkek, Oct. 12, 2021 . / Kabar / . The volume of industrial production in January-September 2021 amounted to about KGS 233.5 billion, head of the Industry and Energy Statistics Department of the National Statictics Committee of Kyrgyzstan Ainura Mamanova said at a briefing on Tuesday.
She added that this indicator decreased by 4.2% compared to the previous year.
"Excluding enterprises for the development of Vothe Kumtor deposit, the volume of industrial production amounted to KGS 133.5 billion and increased by 17.7%. The decline in the volume of industry is related to the reduction of production of pharmaceutical products by 42%, chemical products by 35%, as well as basic metals and finished metal products by 24.4%," Mamanova noted.
The head of the Industry and Energy Statistics Department said that the volume of industry in the extraction of minerals amounted to KGS 19.4 billion and increased by 10.3%, manufacturing industry - KGS 183.2 billion, decrease was 8.4%, the provision of electricity, gas, steam - KGS 27.8 billion, increase was 5.1%, water, cleaning, waste management - KGS 3.1 billion (growth of 32.7%).
