Since beginning of year, Kyrgyzstan’s GDP growth amounted to 4.4%

The volume of gross domestic product (GDP) of Kyrgyzstan in January-November of this year, according to preliminary estimates, exceeded one trillion soms and increased by 4.4% compared to the corresponding period in 2022, the country's National Statistics Committee said.

The volume of industrial production in January-November 2023 increased by 1.8% compared to the same period last year due to an increase in the production of rubber, plastic products and building materials (1.8 times), pharmaceutical products ( by 1.5 times), in textile production, clothing and footwear production, leather and leather products (by 23.6%), wood and paper products, printing activities (by 23%), refined petroleum products (by 8.4%) , chemical products (by 7.4%), food products (including drinks) and tobacco products (by 5.3%), as well as in mining (by 3.5%).

Positive trends were observed in construction, where the increase in volumes was 14.3%, wholesale and retail trade – 17.9%.

In January-November of this year (compared to December of the previous year), the increase in consumer prices and tariffs in the republic as a whole amounted to 6.9%. At the same time, prices for non-food products increased by 11.9%, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products by 10.7%, food products and non-alcoholic drinks by 3.1%, and tariffs for services provided to the population by 8.9%.
