Turnout for elections in Uzbekistan reaches 71.1%

Tashkent, Dec.23, 2019./Kabar/. According to preliminary data, turnout for elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis (Lower House of Parliament) and local Kengashes (authorities), held this Sunday, reached 71.1 per cent, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan Mirzo-Ulugbek Abdusalomov said at briefing.

A total of 13 million 355 thousand 911 out of 18 million 797 thousand 810 registered voters voted at 10260 polling stations in the country.

Preliminary results of the elections will be summed up today, Dec. 23 at 14:00.
