Economy Ministry: Remittances to Kyrgyzstan decreased by 9.3%

Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2020. /Kabar/. In January-July 2020, gross inflow of remittances amounted to USD 1 billion 225.3 million, decreased by 9.3% compared to last year, Deputy Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan Avtandil Alybayev said at a press conference at Kabar News Agency.

According to him, the bulk of remittances come from Russia - about 97%, the rest of the amount - from other countries.

He also said that for the first 8 months of 2020, the total volume of lending the economy amounted to KGS 163.9 billion, thereby increasing by 9.3%.

"The situation at the currency market is generally stable, there are some small fluctuations, but in general they do not have much effect on the market," the deputy minister.
