Bishkek, Nov. 24, 2019. / Kabar /. Within the framework of the 9th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, a Kyrgyz-Turkish business forum was held in Ankara, which was attended by First Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubatbek Boronov and Vice President of the Republic of Turkey Fuat Oktay.
First Vice Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov, speaking at the forum, told about the investment potential of our republic and called on Turkish entrepreneurs to actively participate in joint investment projects.
During the forum, bilateral business meetings were held where its participants were able to discuss cooperation in such areas as hydropower, the creation of technology parks, the export of agricultural products and manufacturing goods, the introduction of new management methods and production technologies, the search for potential investors and attracting investments, and the development of cooperation.
Following the event, 6 Memorandums of Cooperation were signed aimed at expanding trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
In addition, within the framework of the forum, which was attended by 350 entrepreneurs of the two countries, a round table was held with the participation of representatives of 33 Turkish companies operating in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Turkish companies were provided with information on the conditions created for business, then a constructive exchange of views took place on pressing issues in this area.
Turkish entrepreneurs positively characterized the investment climate in the Kyrgyz Republic, noting, however, the need to remove existing barriers n doing business.
The event was organized by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Turkey, the Investments Promotion and Protection Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, the Council on Foreign Economic Relations of Turkey and the Association of Turkish Exporters.
