In Kyrgyzstan in January 2021, GDP amounted to KGS 33.2 bln

In Kyrgyzstan, in January 2021, the gross domestic product, according to preliminary data, amounted to more than KGS 33.2 billion, Chinara Turdubaeva, head of the department of summary works and dissemination of statistical information, said at a press conference in the National Statistical Committee.

She said that this is 7.6% less than the same period in 2020.

“Without taking into account the enterprises developing the Kumtor deposit, the volume of GDP amounted to about KGS 30 billion and decreased by 4.5%. The volume of industrial production amounted to more than KGS 22 billion and, compared to January 2020, decreased by 9.5% due to a decrease in industrial production of basic metals and finished metal products by 32.8%,” the specialist said.
