Bishkek, Jan. 20, 2022 . / Kabar /. The Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan plans to purchase special equipment for KGS 2.5 billion, Minister Askarbek Dzhanybekov said during a briefing in Bishkek.
The minister of agriculture added that a program is being prepared to mobilize local communities to carry out repair and rehabilitation work on on-farm canals.
"That is, today we initiate assignment of plots to collectives of regional organizations, also we conduct work among population on preparation of on-farm network vegetation,” Dzhanybekov said.
Besides, documents for purchase of agricultural machinery for KGS 2.5 billion in water sector are being prepared.
The official noted that this will give each regional water management administration an opportunity to carry out overhaul of irrigation networks on their own, without hiring anyone.
