Osh, Mar. 4, 2019. /Kabar/. Osh Mayor Taalaibek Sarybashov had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Kyrgyz Republic Faisal Niaz Tirmizi on Monday, where prospects for cooperation, joint projects and development of relations were discussed.
In his welcoming speech, the mayor noted that the city of Osh is ready for cooperation and will consider any proposals for the development of interaction.
Faisal Niaz Tirmizi told that there are strong historical ties between the two states and it is necessary to improve the interaction between business structures and people, and jointly develop trade and economic relations.
“I am very pleased that I was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Kyrgyz Republic. I have visited about 90 different countries, but I want to note that Kyrgyzstan has the best food, dishes and water. For my part, I set the task of establishing economic ties and strengthening relations between representatives of the business environment of the two states. In particular, in Pakistan there is the second largest city with a rich 3000-year history, the cultural and business center of the country – the city of Lahore. For my part, I would like to assist in sharing experience, meetings and joint visits of representatives of the business environment of the cities of Osh and Lahore to each other,” Faisal Niaz Tirmizi said.
In turn, Taalaibek Sarybashov expressed an initiative to open joint ventures in the city of Osh and implement common business projects, and also invited to work together to unleash the tourist potential of the city and its historical and cultural sites.
In conclusion, the mayor invited the guest to take part in cultural events planned in Osh at the end of April within the framework of the program “The City of Osh, the Cultural Center of the Turkic World”.
