Tashkent, April 18, 2022 . / Kabar /. The volume of cross-border transfers to Uzbekistan in January-March 2022 amounted to $1.47 billion, the press service of the Central Bank of the republic said.
"The volume of cross-border transfers received in the republic in the first quarter of 2022 amounted to $1.47 billion, an increase of $49 million, or 3% compared to the same period last year," the report said.
It also became known that the purchase of foreign currency from individuals has increased by $585 million, or 38% to $2.11 billion in the first quarter of this year compared to the same period in 2021.
In addition, commercial banks sold $1.73 billion to natural persons, which is $709 million, or 69% more than during the same period last year.
