As of 16:00, voter turnout in local council elections makes 18.66%

Bishkek, Nov. 17, 2024. /Kabar/. As of 16:00, voter turnout in local council elections is 18.66% or 771,767 voters, Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurlan Koichukeev said.

According to his data, 266,757 (16.46%) voters voted in the city council elections.

505,010 (20.08%) voters voted in the rural council elections.

4,270 (47.18%) people voted remotely.

Kyrgyzstan is holding elections of deputies to local councils on Sunday. The Kyrgyz citizens will elect 993 deputies to 33 city councils and 5,391 deputies to 231 village councils. 2,437 polling stations have been opened across the country.
