Bishkek, Jan.31, 2020. /Kabar/. At the press conference, held today, Jan.31, Chairman of the Guarantee Fund OJSC Malik Abakirov told how many guarantees are planned to be issued.
According to his data, since the beginning of the Fund's activity 1 thousand 602 guarantees worth KGS 1 billion 676 million have been issued, which is 150% more than the capital of the Fund.
Partner banks have issued loans for guarantees totaling KGS 5 billion 658 million. From year to year, guarantees demonstrate an increase in quantitative and qualitative parameters.
"In 2019 there were 946 guarantees, which is 226% more than in 2018. 90% of these guarantees were sent to the regions. The total amount of guarantees made KGS 921 million, which is 182% more than in 2018.
In quantitative terms, the excess of guarantees in all regions amounted to 182%, compared to 2018 (115%). In monetary terms, in all regions the excess of guarantees issued amounted to 300%, compared to 2018 (108%),” he said.
Chairman Abakirov informed the plans for 2020 are very optimistic.
"This year we plan to issue 1 thousand 925 guarantees for KGS 1 billion 200 million. This is twice as much as last year's results," he concluded.
The Guarantee Fund OJSC is aimed at providing access to financing for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in case of insufficient collateral throughout the Kyrgyz Republic.
