Bishkek, Jan.14, 2025. /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, more than 11 thousand entrepreneurs received interest-free loans worth over KGS 8.4 billion, the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan reported.
As part of the implementation of the plan of anti-crisis measures of the Cabinet of Ministers and in order to support small and medium-sized enterprises in responding to crisis situations, the project “Emergency Support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises”, financed by the World Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, was launched on March 31, 2021.
Since September 2022, entrepreneurs started to receive interest-free loans within the framework of support of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
As a result, from the launch until today, more precisely as of Jan. 1, 2025, the amount of interest-free loans amounted to KGS 8 billion 451 million 301 thousand 18. It was received by 11 thousand 269 entrepreneurs.
The project will be implemented throughout the country until July 2027.
