Bishkek, Feb. 7, 2023 / Kabar/. At the end of 2022, the total mortality rate of the population in the republic decreased by 1.4% compared to the previous year. Such data were announced at the final collegium of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan.
According to data, the maternal mortality rate decreased by 23.4% compared to 2021, the infant mortality rate decreased by 7.1%.
In the structure of the causes of death of the population, as in previous years, the first place is occupied by diseases of the circulatory system - 51.1% (in 2021 - 51.1%), the second - by neoplasms - 10.3% (in 2021 - 10 .2%), the third - external causes of death - 7.1% (in 2021 - 7.3%), the fourth - diseases of the digestive system - 5.4% (in 2021 - 5.3%) and the fifth - respiratory diseases - 4.4% (in 2021 - 4.4%).
